  3. Christians always say the bible is the "main way God communicates with us". Where does this idea come from? People haven't always had the bible, and some people don't have it now. Why do Christians put so much emphasis on reading/knowing it? Did God really just stop talking to people at some point and say "now I will speak to you through the bible?"

  6. Something I've always wanted to have explained to me... There is scientific proof of human evolution and dinosaurs during the Ice Age so... Why does the bible not mention any of this and just starts with Adam and Eve????

    If the bible was handed down orally before writing began then couldn't someone just add whatever information they wanted whenever they wanted?

  24. Paul said women should not speak in church; they should wait to ask questions of their husbands at home. Knowing that Paul almost always wrote to a specific church, it seems that we pick and choose which parts of the bible are cultural remnants and which are applicable to us today. Do you think we should uphold this? Is it alright to interpret?

    What about the so called lost books of the Bible (like the Gospel of Thomas). Were these passed on by God? Why were they not included in the Bible?

    Why not use a gender neutral version of the bible? Like in 1 john 2 - females have an advocate with the Father too, right? :)
